Operation
The supply to courtesy lights 209 and door switch 54 in each of the door pillars is taken from fuse 16.

When one of the doors is opened, the corresponding door switch will close and the lamp in the door will light up. The door switch is of two-pole design and, in addition to the courtesy lights, also switches on the interior lighting.

Fault-tracing hints
1. Check fuse 16 and check that the supply to it is live.
2. Check each lamp and check that the supply to it is live.
3. Check that each door switch operates satisfactorily.
4. Check the wiring and the earth connections.
