Operation
When the ignition switch is turned to the drive position, the positive supply to cigarette lighter 48 is taken across fuse 9 and terminal +54. The circuit is closed when the cigarette lighter is depressed.

Fault-tracing hints

1. Check fuse 9 and check that the supply to it is live.
2. Check the filament of the cigarette lighter.
3. Check the earth connection.
