Thermovalve (PVS Valve)

1. With the engine cold (below 60°F (16°C)) disconnect the vacuum lines from the thermovalve and connect a vacuum pump to one port and a vacuum gauge to the other port. There should be no vacuum reading on the vacuum gauge.
2. Start the engine and monitor the engine temperature. At approximately 68°F (20°C) the valve should open and vacuum should show on the vacuum gauge. If the valve does not operate as outlined, replace the thermovalve.
