Operation
The horn system includes two tuned loud-tone horns, one of them high-pitched and the other low-pitched. The positive supply is taken from fuse 7 in the electrical distribution box, through the actuating coil in horn relay 68, to the horn switch on the steering wheel. When the horn switch is closed, the relay will be energized and horn 40 will be energized across fuse 21 (1987)/fuse 7 (1988) and the relay contacts.

Fault-tracing hints
The horn will not be operative until the ignition switch has been set to the drive position.

1. Check fuse 7 (1987)/fuse 21 (1988) and check that the supply to it is live.
2. Check that the relay operates by earthing terminal 85. The horn should then sound.
3. Check the wiring and the earth connections.
