Windshield Washer Pump: Service and Repair

1 Disconnect the negative battery cable.

Important :
Do not disconnect the battery cable while the engine is running as this could seriously damage the generator (alternator).

2 Disconnect the hose from the washer pump.

Important :
The reservoir should not contain more than 0.5 litres (0.5 qts) of fluid as it will otherwise run out when the washer pump is removed.

3 Unplug the washer pump connector.
4 To remove the washer pump, bend it slightly outwards and pull it straight up out of the rubber bush.

To Install
Install in reverse order.
