An updated ISAT program board has been developed to expand ISAT's diagnostic capabilities for 1991 models. With the new program board, ISAT is able to retrieve fault codes and send command codes for the electric seats with memory function introduced on certain 1991 9000 models. The new ISAT board is also updated to include the B234 Turbo engine variant in command codes for the Programmable EDU.


The revised ISAT program board, P/N 86 11 063, has been designated as a required special tool and will be automatically shipped to each dealer.

Program Board Replacement Procedure

1. Remove the screw in the bottom end cover and slide the cover off.

2. Form a removal tool by bending a hook in one end of a piece of stiff wire. Hook the wire into the hole on the left side of the program board (Figure 2) and carefully grasp the right side of the board with a pair of flat-nosed pliers. Pull the board back with the hook while using the pliers to keep it from cocking.

3. Slide the new board into the tester and press it firmly into the socket.
