Control Module Pin Tests
Control Module Pin TestsPoints to remember:
^ All measurements should be carried out with every component connected and with the ignition switch in the Drive position.
^ Readings can be taken at the rear of the control unit connector or, preferably, with a BOB (breakout box) connected between the control unit and the control unit connector.
^ Some of the readings should be taken with the engine running at idling speed.
^ Be careful not to connect the ETS control unit connector the wrong way round.
^ Many voltage levels are guiding values only.Use your common sense to decide whether a reading is correct or erroneous.
^ If a reading is obviously erroneous, use the wiring diagram to see which leads, connectors or components ought to be checked additionally.
With all components connected and the ignition switch in the Drive position, take readings at the rear of the connector or with a breakout box (BOB).
