Erratic or Hard Shifts

A transmission that exhibits erratic or hard shifts, noise when shifting, particularly on 2-3 upshift and/or clutch slipping tendencies, may indicate a radiator oil cooler failure. Refer to Transmission and Drivetrain/Automatic Transmission/Transaxle/Valve Body/Service and Repair to inspect for antifreeze contamination of the transmission.
