Test Mode

1. Ensure tester is in MONITOR MODE. This is the mode the tester enters automatically after ``ABS-System Version'' has been selected.
2. Drive the vehicle at about 6 mph and press START TEST button.
3. The word TEST will now start to flash on the display, indicating that TEST MODE has been started.
4. If tester will not enter TEST MODE, remain in MONITOR MODE and check wheel sensor signal strength for each wheel, refer to MONITOR MODE.
5. Drive vehicle for at least three minutes at a speed of approximately 42 mph. Test results will not be affected by the vehicle stopping and starting.
6. Test cycle for each wheel takes about two seconds.
7. Tester will bleep each time a fault is detected, testing will continue until tester is switched off or START TEST button is pressed for approximately three seconds.
8. To read test results, proceed as follows:
a. Stop vehicle but do not turn off the ignition switch, wait until display indicates FR, FL, RL, or RR and press START TEST button.
b. If no faults have been detected, display will read SYSTEM OK.
c. If any faults have been detected, ERROR will appear on the display followed by a figure indicating the number of faults found.
d. To read error codes, press NEXT ERROR CODE button and error codes will be displayed. Press button again to read each successive error code.
e. If several error codes are displayed together they must be investigated and repaired in the order shown in Fig. 5.
9. To diagnose and repair error code faults refer to ERROR CODES.
10. To return to MONITOR MODE, press one of the function buttons.
