Instrument Cluster / Carrier: Service and Repair

1. On models equipped with airbag system, disarm airbag, refer to Air Bags and Seat Belts.
2. On models less airbag system, disconnect battery ground cable.
3. Remove steering wheel, refer to Air Bags and Seat Belts. if needed.
4. Remove four screws securing lower edge of instrument cluster bezel, noting position of each screw for reassembly.
5. Tilt bezel forward, disconnect electrical connectors and vacuum hoses, if equipped, then remove bezel.
6. Remove left speaker/defroster grille, then disconnect electrical connectors and speedometer cable from cluster.
7. Remove instrument cluster retaining screws and the cluster.
8. Reverse procedure to install.

NOTE: Cluster bezel retaining screws are of different lengths and are not interchangeable. The bezel will be damaged if screws are installed improperly.
