Warning and Indicator Lights
Anti-Lock Light1. With ECU connector plugged in and ignition in Drive position, ensure battery voltage at pin 52 exists. If not, check bulb and lead between ECU pin 52 and pin 8 on main instrument panel (H10-12).
2. With ignition Off and connectors for ECU and system relay unplugged, check circuit between ECU pin 52 and ECU pin 33. Ensure diode prevents current flow toward pin 52.
TCS CTRL Light
1. With ignition in Drive position, ensure battery voltage at pin 52 exists. If not, check bulb and lead between ECU pin 44 and pin 12 on main instrument panel (H10-12).
2. With ignition Off and connectors for ECU and system relay unplugged, check circuit between ECU pin 52 and ECU pin 33. Ensure diode prevents current flow towards pin 44.
Brake Fluid Light
1. Ensure light is working by turning ignition to a point between Start and Drive positions. If light does not illuminate, check bulb in panel.
2. If light fails to illuminate when pressure is low, proceed as follows:
a. With pressure warning switch connector (294) unplugged and ignition in Drive position, ensure battery voltage is at pin 2 of pressure switch connector. If not, check WH lead between pin 2 on connector and pin 11 on instrument panel.
b. If voltage is at pin 2, switch off ignition and depressurize system.
c. Check resistance across pins 1 and 2 on pressure warning switch. Reading should indicate circuit continuity. If not, replace switch.
d. If switch is satisfactory, check BK lead between pin 1 of pressure switch connector and ground.
3. If light fails to illuminate when fluid level is low, proceed as follows:
a. With connector for level warning switch (299) unplugged and ignition in Drive position, ensure battery voltage is at pin 4 of reservoir switch connector. If not, check WH lead between pin 4 on connector and pin 11 on instrument panel. If voltage exists at pin 4, switch off ignition and proceed to step b.
b. Check level switch by verifying that circuit is closed when the float is pressed down, and that the circuit is open when the float is up. If values are unsatisfactory, replace reservoir. If values are satisfactory, proceed to step c.
c. Check BK lead by measuring resistance across pin 3 of reservoir switch connector and ground.
TCS Light
1. With ignition in Drive position, ensure battery voltage is at ECU pin 7. If battery voltage does not exist, proceed as follows:
a. Ensure bulb is good.
b. Circuit continuity exists in BN/GY lead between ECU pin 7 and pin 6 on tachometer connector.
c. Ensure there is a live feed to pin 4 on rev counter.
2. If TCS light fails to illuminate when the system is operating and no other warning lights are on, replace ECU.
