DTC 47421 - Bulb 1 SRS Symbol Faulty or Open Circuit

MALFUNCTION
Diagnostic trouble code 47421: Bulb 1 in SRS symbol, faulty or open circuit (bulb connected to pin 14 of the control module)

DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE
1. Test bulb 1 by entering command code 551 on the ISAT Scan Tool. The lamp should flash for six seconds.
If the lamp does not flash, proceed to step 2.
2. Change the bulb, clear the trouble code and wait at least 40 seconds with the ignition ON. Then check whether the trouble code recurs.
If the trouble code does not recur, the bulb was faulty.
If the trouble code recurs, proceed to step 3.
3. Unscrew the steering wheel airbag module and unplug the connector at the rear of the airbag. Plug reference resistor 84 71153 into the connector.

NOTE: For cars with an airbag on the passenger's side: Remove the lower cover and unplug the passenger airbag connector H2-80. Plug reference resistor 84 71 153 via cable 86 11 378 into the connector.

4. Check the wiring for continuity between fuse 4 and pin 14 of the connector at control module 331 and instrument 213. Rectify the fault and clear the fault code.
