Dear Saab Owner:

During our quality verification process, Saab Automobile AB found that the routing of an electrical wire may have been fitted too snugly. Over an extended period of time this wire might chafe and create a short circuit that could damage wiring in the main harness. Routing of the main wiring harness in the dashboard was changed in model year 1994 to accommodate the passenger side airbag.

Although the possibility of this occurring is small, we would request that you take your car to an authorized Saab dealer to have this condition corrected before any problem can occur.

Saab Cars USA, Inc. has notified all authorized Saab dealers of this condition and the proper repair procedures. The cost of repair is, of course, free of charge. Please call your Saab dealer to schedule an appointment to have this repair work performed.
