Cooling System: Description and Operation
The cooling system is of the over-pressure type, with a cross-flow radiator and an expansion tank. The circuits are different in the different engine variants.
The coolant pump is located on the right-hand side of the engine and is driven by the crankshaft via a multi-groove belt. The thermostat is located in a housing at the left-hand end of the cylinder head.
NOTE: The large picture shows an engine with turbocharger and the small picture shows what is different in an engine without a turbocharger.
