Warranty Information

To resolve a customer complaint for a vehicle in warranty, please submit a warranty claim using the following information:

Stage 1: Checking for leakage. Replace gearbox and radiator if contaminated.

Stage 2: Lubeguard installed and brake band adjusted - no further repair required:

Failure code: 44287-40-0-01-05.

Labor operation: 12403 (Automatic Transmission Diagnosis) 0.7 hrs.

Straight Time: 0.4 hr. (Adjusting the Brake Band)

Note:
$6.00 added as sublet for LUBEGARD

Stage 3: Thermostatic valve noise

Failure code: 42015-40-0-01-01.

Labor operation: 42015 for 0.9 hr. and 42099 for 0.4 hr. in straight time for road test. See S.I. 11/89-1194.

Stage 4: Turbo by-pass valve

Failure code: 29153-40-0-01-01.

Labor operation: 29153 for 0.3 hr. See PSI 11/930401.

Stage 5: LUBEGARD installed, brake band adjusted. Complaint not eliminated. Intermediate shaft must be replaced:

Failure code: 44267-40-0-01-01.

Labor allowance: 44020 (R & R Torque Converter Housing): 8.5 hrs.

Straight time: 1.5 hrs.

NOTE:
For cars equipped with TCS please add 12232 (Calibrate TCS): 0.2 hrs.
