Procedure





1 Remove the expansion tank, undo the electrical connection to the level sensor and fold the tank aside. Fold aside the steering servo reservoir as well and hang both up with a cable tie or similar strapping.





2 Use clamp 83 95 154 and screw the belt tensioner together.

3 Note how the belt is threaded and lift it off the belt tensioner's idler wheel.

4 Release the belt tensioner.





5 Remove the belt tensioner's upper fastening screw and fold back the belt tensioner.

6 Pull out the old bushing and fit the new one.

7 Screw in the new screw and tighten it so that the belt tensioner is fixed.





8 Screw the belt tensioner together. Put on the belt and check its position on all pulleys.

9 Release the belt tensioner and remove the tool.

10 Check that the expansion tank is not damaged when the engine is started. Start the engine and check that the belt runs correctly over all pulleys. Shut off the engine.

11 Tighten the belt tensioner's upper fastening screw. Tightening torque 22 Nm (16 lbf ft).





12 Connect the expansion tank's level sensor and refit the expansion tank and steering servo reservoir.
