Replacement of Headlamp Wiper Assembly

(Not US, JP)

To Remove, left-hand side
1 Disconnect the negative battery cable.

Important :
Do not disconnect the battery cable while the engine is running as this could seriously damage the generator (alternator).

2 Remove the intake manifold.
3 Disconnect the washer hose from the wiper arm.
4 Raise the cover over the wiper arm mounting point and undo the nut. Pull off the wiper arm.
5 Unplug the wiper motor connector.
6 Remove the nut from the wiper motor locking brace. Remove the locking brace.
7 Pull the wiper motor rearwards to withdraw it.

To Install
Install in reverse order.

Tightening torque, wiper arm: 5 Nm (3.7 lbf ft)






To Remove, right-hand side
1 Disconnect the negative battery cable.

Important : Do not disconnect the battery cable while the engine is running as this could seriously damage the generator (alternator).

2 Remove the headlamp.
3 Raise the cover over the wiper arm mounting point and undo the nut. Pull off the wiper arm.
4 Remove the nut securing the wiper motor locking brace. Remove the locking brace.
5 Pull the wiper motor rearwards to withdraw it.

To Install
Install in reverse order.
After installation the headlamp the alignment of the headlamps must be checked.

Tightening torque, wiper arm: 5 Nm (3.7 lbf ft)






Headlamp assembly (US, JP)

To Remove
1 Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2 Raise the cover and undo the nut. Remove the wiper arm.
3 Remove the grille.
4 Release the light cluster and remove the headlamp.
5 Remove the wiper motor (2 bolts) and unplug the connector.

To Install
Switch on the ignition and run the wiper motor for a complete revolution to be sure that it is in the parking position before installation the wiper arm. Install other components in reverse order.

Tightening torque, wiper arms: 5 Nm (3.7 lbf ft)






Headlamp wiper motor, CS and CD M95-

To Remove
Carry out replacement in the same way as for 5-d (CC) and CD -M94.
1 Remove the headlamp.
2 Remove the wiper arm.
3 Unplug the connector.
4 Remove the two motor retaining bolts and remove the motor complete with bracket and shaft.

To Install
Install in reverse order.

Tightening torque, wiper arms: 5 Nm (3.7 lbf ft)
