Cooling System: Description and Operation

The cooling system is of the over-pressure type, with a cross-flow radiator and an expansion tank.

On 6-cylinder engines the coolant pump is located at the front edge of the engine block and powered by a Poly-V belt.

The thermostat is located above the water pump between the cylinder banks.
