Grounding Points
G8 Grounding point, dashboard, by the left-hand front loudspeaker socket.

DESCRIPTION OF OPERATION
When the ignition switch is in the Drive position, positive current is supplied to cigarette lighter 48 via fuse 9 and the terminal block (+54 circuit). The circuit is closed when the cigarefte lighter is pressed in.

Ashtray lighting 148 is regulated by the rheostat used for regulating the lighting of instruments and controls.

FAULT DIAGNOSIS HINTS
1. Inspect fuse 9 and check that it is supplied with current.
2. Check the cigarette lighter filament.
3. Check the ground connection.
