Selection of Materials

The exhaust system is corrosion protected by the front pipe and the connector pipes between the mufflers being aluminum plated, the rear muffler intake and outlet manifolds are chromed steel and the muffler cans are manufactured from corrosion resistant 12% chrome steel plate. The outer sheet casings are aluminized.

All joints are of the flange type and lack seals, except for the intermediate exhaust manifold and the front pipe on models without turbocharger, which simplifies replacement and gives a good fit.
