DESCRIPTION OF OPERATION
The horn system includes two tuned horns of loud-tone type. One has a high pitch and the other a low pitch.
Positive current is supplied from fuse 9 in the main fuse box via the actuating coil in horn relay 68 to the horn switch on the steering wheel. When the horn switch is closed, the relay operates and horn 40 is supplied with current via fuse 10 and the relay contacts.
FAULT DIAGNOSIS HINTS
The horn is operative when the ignition switch is in the Drive position.
1. Check that fuses 9 and 10 are intact and supplied with current.
2. Ground pin 2 (85) of the relay to check that it is in working order. If it is the horn should sound.
3. Check the connectors, wiring harness and ground connections.
