Description of On-Board Diagnostics

ISAT Scan Tool Diagnostics.
The Motronic control module communicates with the ISAT Scan Tool via pin 88. Communication is two way and accordingly consists of both input and output signals.

The ISAT Scan Tool can communicate with the Motronic system when the ignition switch is in the ON position or when the engine is running. At high engine rpm it may be difficult to establish communication with the Motronic control module.

The data link connector is situated on the cover below the steering wheel.
