Vehicle Towing Instructions





Follow the instructions in the owners manual for the vehicle. In addition, the following must always be complied with when towing a vehicle with automatic transmission.
a. Selector lever should be set to N.
b. The transmission should be filled with an extra two liters of fluid above the normal level. Use DEXRON li automatic transmission fluid.
c. National regulations concerning towing speed must be complied with. If permitted by law, maximum towing speed is 50 km/hr. Maximum permitted towing distance is 50 km. If it is necessary to tow the car further, the front wheels should be lifted from the ground.
d. When the car is brought back into use, transmission fluid should be checked, and if necessary, adjusted to the prescribed quantity.
e. The engine cannot be started by towing or pushing the car.
