Replacement of Rear Window Assembly

To remove the wiper arm
Raise the cover over the wiper arm and undo the nut.
Lift off the wiper arm.

To Install
Install in reverse order.

Tightening torque, wiper arm: 7 Nm (5.2 lbf ft)

To remove the motor
1 Raise the cover over the wiper arm and undo the -nut.
Lift off the wiper arm.
2 Undo the large retaining nut and remove the spacer.
3 Open the tailgate and remove the trim on the left-hand and right-hand sides (1 screw, 3 clips).
4 Remove the handle.
5 Remove the trim (5 clips).
6 Unplug the connector.
7 Remove the three retaining bolts and lift out the motor.

To Install the motor
Before installation the motor, check that the two O-rings on the motor shaft are in good condition and lubricate the shaft with acid-free Vaseline (A).

Also check that the wiper blades and wiper arms are flawless and in good condition.


Install other components in reverse order.
