Left Hand Drive

To remove the wiper spindles with bracket
1 Start the windscreen wipers and switch oft the ignition when the wipers are in a vertical position.







2 Remove the wiper arms and protective rubber covers.
3 Remove the two upper screws securing the wiper motor mounting plate.
4 Disconnect the negative battery cable.
5 Remove the bonnet seal and cover panel and separate the washer hose.
6 Unscrew the LH electronic unit (and ABS electronic unit, if installed) and remove the bracket.







7 Unscrew the 24-pin connector and remove the bracket.
8 Unplug the wiper motor connector.
9 Remove the two lower screws securing the wiper motor mounting plate.
10 Press down the wiper spindles, pull the unit slightly to the right and remove it, left-hand wiper spindle first.
11 Use a screwdriver to prise the linking arms loose and remove the motor.

To Install
1 Reinstall the motor and linking arms.
2 Introduce the wiper unit, right-hand wiper spindle first, and insert the upper bolts.
3 Install the lower bolts and tighten the upper ones.
4 Plug in the wiper motor connector and make sure that the colours of the leads coincide.
5 Install the bracket for the 24-pin connector and screw on the connector.
6 Install the bracket and LH electronic unit (and the ABS electronic unit, if fined).
7 Reconnect the washer hose, install the cover panel and bonnet seal.
8 Connect the battery.
9 Switch on the ignition and run the wiper motor for a complete revolution to be sure that it is in the parking position before installation the protective rubber covers and wiper arms.
