Customer Satisfaction Campaign 802: Water leak in luggage compartment
Background
In connection with the introduction in production of a new screw for the trunk (boot) lid hinges, a small opening in one of the fastening holes to the water channel was sealed. This opening was used to drain water from the top of the hinge fastening to the water channel and, consequently, the water is now drained into the luggage compartment.

Saab 9-5 Sedan models within the following VIN Serial No. Ranges:
X3039285 - X3043680

MODIFICATION INSTRUCTION
Background

Procedure
1 Wash clean the area to be sealed.
2 Seal the gap between the trunk (boot) lid hinge fastening and the body by the front screw on the left-hand side of the car. See illustration.
3 Seal the gap between the trunk (boot) lid hinge fastening and the body by the front screw on the right-hand side of the car.
4 Apply finishing paint.
