Receiver Dryer: Service and Repair
To remove
1 Place the car on a lift.
2 Drain the refrigerant from the A/C system, see Refrigerant, A/C/Service and Repair.
3 Remove the grille and left headlamp as well as direction indicator.
4 Remove the front covering below the radiator unit.
5 Detach the A/C pipe connections from the receiver.
Plug the openings.
6 Loosen the receiver and holder from the left-hand side of the condenser.
Plug the condenser.
7 Lower the receiver under the car.
To fit
1 Adjust the oil volume in the compressor, see Air Conditioning Compressor/Compressor Oil/Service and Repair.
Lift up the receiver and holder to the condenser.
2 Adjust the position of the receiver so that the PAD connections are parallel.
3 Lubricate the O-ring and fit the receiver.
4 Remove the plugs and lubricate the O-rings on the receiver pipes.
5 Screw on the A/C pipe connections to the receiver.
Tightening torque: 8 Nm (5.9 ft. lbs.)
6 Fit the front covering below the radiator unit.
7 Vacuum pump the A/C system and fill with R134a refrigerant, see Refrigerant, A/C/Service and Repair.
8 Fit the left headlamp, direction indicator and grille.
