Speed-Dependent Volume

Speed-Dependent Volume

General
Automatic volume control is controlled by the cars speed to compensate for background noise that occurs when the car is moving. The function is active at speeds over 60 kph.

Function
The main instrument unit (MIU) receives a speed signal from the ABS. MIU sends the information out on the bus where it can be read by the main unit and the volume controlled. The level is raised as the vehicles speed increases, and lowered as it drops.
