Fuel Shut-Off
Fuel Shut-Off
Fuel shut-off will take place if any of the following criteria are fulfilled:
- +15 supply missing
- fully depressed accelerator pedal during starter motor cranking
- engine speed above (depending on coolant temperature.):
- engine coolant temperature <60° - above 6300 rpm
- engine coolant temperature >80° - above 6400 rpm
- air mass/combustion above:
- B235E: above 1100 mg/c
- B235R: above 1350 mg/c
- immobilizer code incorrect
- throttle rotated manually while engine running
- major fault in throttle Control in case of a pedal sensor malfunction if the engine speed exceeds 2200 rpm
- Ignition discharge module not powered
- engine speeds above 1800 rpm with accelerator pedal fully released and coolant temperature exceeding 20°C. For manual gearbox this applies to 3rd, 4the, and 5the gears. For cars with automatic transmission this applies to 2nd, 3rd, and 4the gears. Fuel injection is reactivated at 1400 rpm.
Diagnostics
If TWICE fails to send "Immobilizer OFF" when the ignition is turned on or if the Trionic T7, TWICE or MIU Control modules have been replaced and the immobilizer code has not been programmed in TWICE, diagnostic trouble code P1460 will be generated and the engine will not start.
