Digital Radio Receiver Replacement

Removal Procedure

Important: Do NOT swap digital radio receivers between vehicles. Swapping digital receivers between vehicles will activate the digital radio Theftlock(R), and "XM Theftlock(R)" will display.


1. Lower the right closeout insulator panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Right Side (Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Right Side).




2. Remove the electrical connector (1) from the receiver.




3. Remove the antenna electrical connector (1) from the receiver.




4. Remove the nuts retaining the receiver to the insulator panel.
5. Remove the receiver from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure




1. Position the receiver near the insulator panel.
2. Install the antenna electrical connector (1) to the receiver.




3. Install the electrical connector (1) to the receiver.




4. Install the receiver to the insulator panel.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice).

5. Install the nuts retaining the receiver to the insulator panel.

Tighten the nuts to 5 Nm (44 in. lbs.).

6. Install the right closeout insulator panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Right Side (Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Right Side).
7. Perform the setup procedure for the digital radio receiver. Refer to Digital Radio Receiver Setup (Digital Radio Receiver Setup).
