Transmission Mount Replacement (5.3L)

Removal Procedure




1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Service and Repair).
2. Support the transmission with a suitable jack.
3. Remove the nuts securing the transmission mount to the transmission support.




4. Remove the transmission support from the vehicle. Refer to Transmission Support Replacement ().




5. Remove the transmission mount bolts (1, 2).




6. Remove the transmission mount from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the transmission mount.





Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice).

2. Install the bolts (1, 2) securing the transmission mount to the transmission.

Tighten the bolts to 65 Nm (48 ft. lbs.).




3. Install the transmission support to the vehicle. Refer to Transmission Support Replacement ().




4. Remove the transmission jack.
5. Install the nuts securing the transmission mount to the transmission support.

Tighten the nuts to 46 Nm (35 ft. lbs.).

6. Lower the vehicle.
