Warning
The cooling system is under pressure. Hot coolant and steam can escape.
- Open the cap slowly to release the pressure.
- Carelessness can cause eye and burn injuries
Note
AC/ACC must be OFF.
1. Fill the system to the MAX mark using 40 - 12 799 124 Coolant and close the expansion tank cap (the coolant should be blended with equal parts water).
2. Connect an exhaust hose.
3. Start the engine and let it run for a short while at varying speeds.
4. Check for coolant leaking via the ventilation hose to the expansion tank.
5. Top up with coolant ant screw on the expansion tank cap.
6. Run the engine at varying speeds until the thermostat opens (radiator fan has started).
7. Turn off the engine and top up with coolant to MAX if necessary.
