Supplemental Inflatable Restraint System Service Manual Update (Revised Torque Specification for Inflator Module [Air Bag] Attachment Bolts)

PURPOSE:
The 1992-1/2 "Supplemental Inflatable System Service Manual" has an incorrect torque specification for the inflator module (air bag) in "Section 3 - Service."

PROCEDURE:
Please change the torque specification from 12 N-m (106 lbs.in.) to 10 N-m (88 lbs.in.) in the following steps.

Always replace inflator module (air bag) fasteners. Never reuse old fasteners.
