DTC 37
ABS System Voltage High:
Circuit Diagram:
ABS SYSTEM VOLTAGE HIGH
The ABS control module monitors voltage on circuit 962 when the enable relay is activated. If voltage is above 17 volts, ABS will be disabled and the antilock telltale will be turned On.
CODE PARAMETERS
Code 37 sets if:
^ ABS system voltage is above 17 volts.
^ This code may set anytime the vehicle is moving faster than 5 km/h (3 mph) and not in ABS braking.
DIAGNOSTIC AIDS
Check state of battery charge. An overcharged battery may be a symptom of a charging system problem.
Using an ohmmeter to check resistance, shake wires to locate intermittents.
When attempting to diagnose an intermittent problem use the Scan tool (select Malfunction History from Scan tool ABS menu) to review supplemental diagnostic information. The supplemental data can be used to duplicate a problem.
Intermittents, shorts, or opens suspected to be at the connectors can be detected by using a diagnostic service probe. Voltage can be read on wires without disconnecting any connectors.
