ABS Schematic: Code 13:

TRACTION ACTIVE TELLTALE CIRCUIT FAULT
The traction active telltale should turn On for a bulb check when the ignition is turned to RUN. Three seconds later, if the ABS control module doesn't detect a fault, the telltale should turn Off. The ABS control module turns the traction active telltale On by providing a ground path for the telltale circuit.

CODE PARAMETERS
Code 13 sets if:
^ The traction active telltale circuit is open, grounded, or shorted to battery.

When Code 13 sets:
^ The service telltale is turned On. ABS is enabled.

Diagnostic Chart: Code 13:

NOTE: Grounding the circuit from the cluster to the ABS control module will cause the telltale to turn On. Opening the circuit will turn the telltale Off.

DIAGNOSTIC AIDS
When Attempting To Diagnose - an intermittent problem, use the scan tool to review supplemental diagnostic information. The supplemental data can be used to duplicate a problem.
^ Select Malf History from scan tool ABS menu.
^ Check tightness of the female terminal grip with a spare male terminal.
