Circuit 237A

FUNCTION: This circuit provides a signal to the I/P cluster from the chime module(located in the instrument panel junction block) to operate the seat belt telltale

Check the seat belt telltale ground circuit for opens and shorts to ground. Leave the driver's belt unbuckled and turn the ignition switch to Run. if the seat belt telltale does not come On, circuit 237A, I/P cluster or bulb, chime module or the driver's seat belt switch circuit (diagnosed in the chime) is at fault. Disconnect the chime module and jumper I/P cluster cavity G to E (circuit 350T). If the seat belt telltale comes On the cluster is Ok. If the seat belt telltale is always On even with the driver's belt buckled then cheek circuit 237A for a short to ground. If Ok, refer to "Chime" for further diagnosis.

Check for OPENS/SHORTS.

Repair as needed.
