Battery - New Charger
BULLETIN NO.: 99-I-07ISSUE DATE: June, 1999
SUBJECT:
New Battery Charger for Saturn Critical Image Equipment Program
TO: Saturn Fixed Operations Managers
The PDQ charger, manufactured by Christie Automotive Products, will replace the charger recommended in the Critical Image Equipment Program.
This new charger will reduce battery replacements (and satisfy customers) by returning the battery to service in 25 to 45 minutes. During the charge cycle, the charger monitors the battery and will automatically shut down and sound a horn when charge is complete. Microprocessor control and temperature sensing devices assure the charger will not over-charge the battery. It is safe for in-car charging and has reverse polarity protection.
This charger will require a wall outlet equipped with a 2O amp style receptacle (one flat blade is perpendicular rather than parallel as with a common appliance). Most commercial buildings are already equipped with this type of outlet.
If the receptacles in your facility are not of the 20 amp design, you may need to contact a licensed electrician to determine if this type of outlet can be installed with your existing electrical circuit and wiring.
The PDQ charger is available for retailer purchase through our supplier-partner, Dealer Equipment and Services at 1-800-468-6657 (also known as 1-800-GM-TOOLS).

Option 2 - PDQ Charger - Model # 48-PDQEXCH.
