Center Mounted Brake Lamp: Service and Repair

CENTER HIGH-MOUNT STOP LAMP

REMOVAL

NOTE: Do not pull on edges of center high-mount stop lamp cover. Damage to cover may result. Slide lingers between cover and lamp and pull down carefully.




1. Remove center high-mount stop lamp cover.
2. Disconnect electrical harness only if removing center high-mount stop lamp.
3. If removing bulbs, twist sockets out of stop lamp, remove bulbs.
4. Remove center high-mount stop lamp by removing retainer screws.

INSTALLATION




1. Install center high-mount stop lamp with screws.

Torque:
Center High Mount Stop Lamp Fasteners: 2.5 N.m (22 in-lbs)

2. Connect electrical harness.
3. Install cover by placing tabs in slots, then gently pressing cover into place.
