Lock Replacement - Rear Door - Upper (Coupe)

Removal Procedure

1. Open the front and rear doors.
2. Remove the rear door upper garnish molding. Refer to Upper Garnish Molding Replacement - Rear Access Door (Coupe) (Removal and Replacement) .
3. Remove the rear door handle. Refer to Door Handle Replacement - Rear Inside (Sedan) (Service and Repair)Door Handle Replacement - Rear Inside (Coupe) (Service and Repair) .
4. Remove the rear door upper lock fasteners.




5. Remove the rear door upper lock with the cable attached.
6. Remove the rear door upper lock cable from the upper lock.



Installation Procedure

1. Install the rear door upper lock cable onto the upper lock.
2. Install the rear door upper lock and cable into the door.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

3. Install the rear door upper lock fasteners.

Tighten the fasteners to 10 N.m (89 lb in).





4. Install the rear door handle. Refer to Door Handle Replacement - Rear Inside (Sedan) (Service and Repair)Door Handle Replacement - Rear Inside (Coupe) (Service and Repair) .
5. Install the rear door upper garnish molding. Refer to Upper Garnish Molding Replacement - Rear Access Door (Coupe) (Removal and Replacement) .
6. Close the rear and front doors.
