1. Assemble the differential gear assembly by installing the differential case (320) to ring gear (307) using 12 ring gear to case bolts (306).
Tighten the ring gear to case bolts to 20 Nm (15 ft. lbs.) plus 90 degrees.
An option for limited slip differential or open differential exists for some models. See inset. Both differential assemblies are serviced only as a complete assembly. The bolts, ring gear and tapered roller bearings are serviceable components.
2. Press the differential bearings onto the differential assembly using the SA9120T and the SA9172G. Use the 87-92-210 under the differential as shown.
3. To change the differential bearing races, refer to Clutch Housing Assemble and Transaxle Case Disassemble or Transaxle Case Assemble.
