DESCRIPTION
The power steering ECU supplies the current to the power steering motor through the motor circuit.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
NOTE: If the steering column or power steering ECU has been replaced, perform the rotation angle sensor initialization and torque sensor zero point calibration .
PROCEDURE
1. READ VALUE USING INTELLIGENT TESTER OR TECHSTREAM (MOTOR VOLTAGE)
(a) Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
(b) Connect an intelligent tester or Techstream to the DLC3.
(c) Turn the ignition switch to ON.
(d) Turn the intelligent tester or Techstream on.
(e) Enter the following menus:
(1) Intelligent tester - Select: DIAGNOSIS / OBD/MOBD / CHASSIS / EMPS / DATA LIST /
(2) Techstream - Select: Chassis / EMPS / Data List /
(f) Select the items "Motor Terminal Volt (U)", "Motor Terminal Volt (V)" and "Motor Terminal Volt (W)" in the Data List and read the value displayed on the intelligent tester or Techstream.
