Introduction
Some customers may complain that the left rear seat back requires more force to latch than the right rear seat back. A new left hand latch assembly has been developed to equalize the latching force of both seats.

This repair is covered under the Toyota Comprehensive Warranty. This warranty is in effect for 36 months or 36,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the vehicle's in-service date.
* Warranty application is limited to correction of a problem based upon a customer's specific complaint.
Repair Procedure
1. Remove the rear seat assembly LH.

2. Disassemble and replace rear seat back latch assembly.

3. Reassemble seat components.

4. Reinstall rear seat assembly LH.
