Removal








SUSPENSION: REAR COIL SPRING: REMOVAL

REMOVAL

1. REMOVE REAR WHEELS
2. REMOVE REAR FLOOR SIDE MEMBER COVER LH

3. REMOVE REAR FLOOR SIDE MEMBER COVER RH

4. REMOVE REAR FLOOR SIDE MEMBER BRACE SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

5. SEPARATE SKID CONTROL SENSOR WIRE (for LH Side) Removal

6. SEPARATE SKID CONTROL SENSOR WIRE (for RH Side)
HINT: Perform the same procedure as for the LH side.

7. LOOSEN REAR AXLE BEAM ASSEMBLY






(a) Support the spring seat of the rear axle beam assembly using a jack and wooden block.
NOTE: Do not excessively jack up the rear axle beam assembly.





(b) Loosen the 2 bolts.
NOTE: Do not remove the bolts.

8. SEPARATE REAR SHOCK ABSORBER ASSEMBLY LH Removal

9. SEPARATE REAR SHOCK ABSORBER ASSEMBLY RH
HINT: Perform the same procedure as for the LH side.

10. REMOVE REAR COIL SPRING






(a) Slowly lower the jack, and remove the rear coil spring.
- When reusing the rear coil spring, make sure that the identification mark is at the position shown in the illustration.
- If the identification mark has come off, apply new paint at the position shown in the illustration.
- When moving the rear axle beam assembly beyond full rebound, make sure that the beam is not out of position for more than 10 minutes.
HINT: Check the identification mark on the RH side following the same procedures as the LH side.
