Removal

2AZ-FE ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM: THROTTLE BODY: REMOVAL

1. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT Service and Repair

2. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 2 nuts and the No. 1 engine cover.

3. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY WITH NO. 1 AIR CLEANER HOSE

(a) Disconnect the mass air flow meter connector.

(b) Disengage the wire harness clamp.

(c) Separate the No. 1 vacuum switching valve assembly.

(d) Disconnect the ventilation hose.

(e) Disengage the hose clamp and separate the No. 2 fuel vapor feed hose.

(f) Loosen the No. 1 air cleaner hose clamp, unlock the air cleaner assembly clamp and remove the air cleaner cap sub-assembly with No. 1 air cleaner hose.

(g) Remove the air cleaner filter element sub-assembly.

4. REMOVE THROTTLE WITH MOTOR BODY ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the No. 2 fuel vapor feed hose.

(b) Disconnect the No. 1 water by-pass hose.

(d) Disconnect the throttle body connector.

(e) Remove the 4 bolts and the throttle with motor body assembly.

(f) Remove the gasket.
