* The main body ECU (network gateway ECU) stores this code if the main body ECU (network gateway ECU) reference code and the reference code from the transponder key ECU assembly do not match.





INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
If the transponder key ECU assembly is replaced, refer to Registration Programming and Relearning.

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK FOR DTC

(a) Check for DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

OK:

DTC B1406 and B1409 are not output.

NG -- GO TO DTC CHART Engine Immobilizer System
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. REGISTER RECOGNITION CODES (ECU CODE REGISTRATION)

(a) Register the recognition codes (ECU code registration) Programming and Relearning.

OK:

The ECU code can be registered.

NG -- CHECK DTC

OK -- END

3. CHECK DTC

(a) Check for DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

OK:

DTC B1406 and B1409 are not output.

NG -- GO TO DTC CHART Engine Immobilizer System

OK -- REPLACE TRANSPONDER KEY ECU ASSEMBLY Removal
