DESCRIPTION

The main body ECU (network gateway ECU) stores this code when an internal malfunction is detected in the transponder key ECU assembly or when the ROM in the transponder key ECU assembly cannot be accessed.

If the transponder key ECU assembly is replaced, refer to Registration Programming and Relearning.

PROCEDURE

1. REGISTER RECOGNITION CODES (ECU CODE REGISTRATION)

(a) Register the recognition codes (ECU code registration) Programming and Relearning.

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK FOR DTC

(a) Check for DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

OK:

DTC B1406 is not output.

NG -- REPLACE TRANSPONDER KEY ECU ASSEMBLY Removal
