The main body ECU (network gateway ECU) stores this code when an internal malfunction is detected in the combination meter assembly.

If the combination meter assembly is replaced, refer to Registration Programming and Relearning.

1. REGISTER RECOGNITION CODES (ECU CODE REGISTRATION)

(a) Register the recognition codes (ECU code registration) Programming and Relearning.

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK FOR DTC

(a) Check for DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

OK:

DTC B1408 is not output.

NG -- REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY Removal
