Installation Instruction
'87 MY & '88 MY JUSTY
Console Box with standard Cassette Deck
CONTENTS:
1. Console Box assembled with Cassette.
2. Din Extension.
3. Power Extension.
4. 5/pin (female) to 8 pin (male) Adaptor (S0A333E303).
5. S0A333D364 5 pin to 5 pin Adaptor.
6. Vehicle radio to console bracket Ground Strap.
7. Shoot metal screws (2).

1. Access radio electrical connections as follows:
1. 1 Remove ashtray and retaining bracket. The bracket is held in place by 3 screws, 2 on top and 1 in the rear center (Fig. 1). 1.2 Remove the four climate control knobs.
NOTE: Be sure to note location. Two top knobs are different from two bottom knobs. 1.3 Remove climate control cover by gently prying forward.
NOTE: Carefully slip a small screwdriver into slots for controls and gently pry forward. (Be careful not to scratch the dash). 1.4 Remove radio knobs, retaining nut and trim plate. 1.5 Remove dash trim bezel, as shown in Fig. 1. The trim bezel is held in place by 2 screws located behind the climate control cover previously removed, and 2 screws located under the trim panel in the area near the ashtray bracket. Pull the trim bezel off. 1.6 Remove the screw from each bracket that secures the radio to the vehicle. 1.7 Pull radio out from dash.
2. Connect electrical connections from radio to cassette, as shown in Fig. 3.
3. Using provided sheet metal screws, secure console box bracket to console box, as shown.
4. Remove 2 screws from location shown in Fig. 2.
5. Secure console box to dash using the screws removed in step 3.
6. Reassembly dash following reverse order of step 1.

1. Remove radio trim plate by gently prying forward.
2. Remove the screw from each bracket that secures the radio to the vehicle.
3. Pull radio out from dash.
4. Remove shorting plug from rear of radio.
5. Using extensions provided, connect the electrical connections to the radio, as shown.
6. Guide the electrical connectors through opening in the rear of the dash.
7. Reinstall radio into dash, and replace screws removed in step 2.
8. Replace trim plate by gently pushing on.
9. Connect electrical connectors to cassette deck as shown in FIG. 4, 5 or 6 on back.
10. Install the console box to vehicle by:
a. Using the provided two sheet metal screws, secure the console box bracket to the console box, as shown.
b. Remove the two vehicle mounting screws from vehicle mounting area.
c. Secure console box to the vehicle using the screws removed in step 10b.
