Legacy and SVX 4EAT Torque Bind Complaints

If you have verified that no mechanical or electronic related problems exist by performing the following:

^ Line Pressure Tests
^ Stall Speed
^ Select Monitor
^ Driving in Figure Eights

It may be necessary to install modified transfer clutch driven plates, Part Number 31589AA041 to reduce the binding if the above checks prove ineffective. Legacy Models use five (5) plates and SVX and Turbo models use six (6). After installation perform the figure eight break-in procedure. Use the applicable Service Manual for installation procedures.

NOTE:
When using the Select Monitor to check the 4WD Duty Percentage (4WDTY) (Mode 13), remember that 95% duty is minimal engagement and 25% is 4WD fully engaged.
