A hypoid drive gear with a nominal diameter of 160 mm (6.30 inch) is used and the drive pinion shaft is supported on three bearings, the bearing preload being adjusted buy a selective spacer and washer. The drive pinion height is adjusted by selecting washers located at the drive pinion neck using dummy shaft and gauge.
